
Top 100 Entrepreneur Awards at Belmont University

The 5th annual Belmont University Entrepreneur Awards took place on December 11, 2023. This evening recognizes Belmont University alumni who have started innovative and unique businesses. The awards honor the founders who are excelling in business and challenging their industries.
Placemat received it's 5th straight honor from the University this year, landing in Top 100 Entrepreneurs to come from Belmont University.
The Thomas F. Cone Sr. Center for Entrepreneurship at Belmont University has ranked No 1. in Tennessee, No.5 in the South and 26th overall, in recently released rankings by The Princeton Review for Entrepreneur magazine. Consistently among the top schools for entrepreneurship, Belmont has ranked in this list’s top 30 over the last five years and yielded 105 alumni-started companies in the same amount of time.
Just 4 years ago, Ryan got his kickstart with Placemat utilizing the Belmont EIR program while he was still a Nursing Student. He met weekly between classes and clinical to with Dan Hogan, a seasoned entrepreneur with demonstrated success in business and in the community.
Additionally that evening Ryan was awarded The Peer Impact Award, which recognizes the power of peer mentorship for his time empowering students to turn their ideas into successful and sustainable businesses over the last 3 years. On his 3rd year as an EIR, Reisdorf dedicates time each week to students and fellow entrepreneurs to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
Without Dan Hogan and Belmont Univeristy's Entrepreneurship program Ryan wouldnt have been able to build Placemat.
“I have to give a lot of gratitude to Belmont,” Reisdorf said. “I believe in changing for the better and helping people succeed. I believe in a healthier future. I’m very thankful for my time here at Belmont.”
