How far in advance do I need to plan to book an event with Placemat? We ask that you reserve your brunch or dinner ten days prior to the date of your event. Depending on our reservation schedule we may be able to accommodate your request if your preferred event date falls outside of our ten day reservation request policy; please email us at info@eatplacemat.com to inquire further.
Where does Placemat source all of the ingredients + goods? We source all of our high quality ingredients + goods from local farmers, farmer's markets, and small businesses throughout the community. Selecting local + organic options are our top priority. Our creative and talented culinary teams are passionate about bringing delicious, healthy and feel-good food to your table through a shared love of preparing a meal.
Is Placemat a catering company? We are not a catering company, but an on-site personal dining experience. We bring the ingredients + supplies and prepare everything in your kitchen.
Does Placemat provide the flatware, serving trays & utensils? We prefer to use the host's flatware, serving trays, and utensils that are already found in your kitchen. Clean up is on us! So, sit back, eat, enjoy and relax with your guests. ** Please note, we are able to accommodate any requests to supply all flatware, serving trays, and utensils at an additional cost.
What is the minimum and maximum number of guests that Placemat events can accommodate? Our current minimum for a reservation is 2 and our maximum is 200. If your party number falls outside of our guest accommodation preference we are always willing to explore an opportunity to fulfill special event requests; please email us at info@eatplacemat.com to inquire further.
What is the cost to have Placemat come prepare a brunch or dinner? Our pricing structure for Placemat events start at $60 per person. Both brunch and dinner will include 5 courses served family-style. Click here to Book Now!
Do you require a deposit for dinners? Yes, we require a $50 deposit at the time the reservation is booked to hold + confirm your reservation date. This initial deposit is applied to the final bill. Placemat does not store credit card information. This is a single authorization charge made by Placemat, LLC. If your reservation is cancelled more than 5 days prior to your event date, Placemat will refund your deposit.
How do I pay for the Placemat services? After your event or weekly meal service you will receive an invoice via email on the following Monday or Friday.
How long does a typical brunch or dinner take? Our goal is to be in and out of your home in three hours.
Is it possible to customize our menu? Absolutely. We will work with you to customize the menu if you would like something specific served.
Does Placemat offer cooking classes? At this time, Placemat does not offer traditional cooking classes. When hiring Placemat you and your party are more than welcome to join our culinary team in the kitchen to ask questions, participate and observe.
